Mobile Website Design and Development Services

As more people rely on mobile devices to search online, mobile website design services are developing faster pages because potential customers can be lost if pages take too long to load.

To help facilitate mobile website development, Google recently announced a new open source initiative called Accelerated Mobile Pages, which aims to improve the speed of loading content from mobile websites.

The Vice President of Search Engineering at Google, David Besbris said “We want webpages with rich content like video, animations and graphics to work alongside smart ads, and to load instantaneously. We also want the same code to work across multiple platforms and devices so that content can appear everywhere in an instant—no matter what type of phone, tablet or mobile device you’re using.”

Currently, Google is working with a number of content publishers and website services to integrate accelerated mobile pages, including Twitter, Pinterest and LinkedIn. Starting in February 2016, Google plans on rolling out more functionality and features to help mobile website design and development services that focus on three core areas:

Content

For content optimization, the Accelerated Mobile Pages project uses shared open source plug-ins and code to allow for improved website performance and user experience. AMP HTML cuts out some of the more taxing aspects of HTML, CSS and JavaScript and replaces them with custom elements to provide fast loading of external assets, including images, videos, tweets, lightbox and carousel content.

Distribution

To improve distribution of content, Google will open their global cache servers to be used by anyone free of charge. Mobile website services will still be able to host their own content, but that content will load much faster by implementing code that can take advantage of Google’s cache.

Advertising

Websites using AMP HTML will have a choice of which ad networks and ad formats to use, as long as those ads don’t slow down a site or create a poor user experience. Google’s plan is to work with publishers and industry experts to figure out the parameters for online advertising that will optimize mobile website development and user experience.
